General Magic |
The magician displays two red silk handkerchiefs, knots them together at the corners and asks a female spectator to place the knotted portion inside the neckline of her blouse, making sure it doesn't fall. The magician then displays a third, different colored silk and makes it magically disappear, announcing that it will reappear tied between the two knotted silks. But, when the magician steps behind the spectator, grabs the hanging ends of the silks and pulls them out of the spectator's blouse, a brassiere appears tied between them! A big surprise and many laughs are guaranteed! |
A volunteer is called from the audience to assist. Two large silks are then shown, tied together and then tucked inside his waistband. You now announce that the silks will be pulled directly through his body. After the big build up you stand behind the spectator and give the silks a tug. They don't penetrate his body but instantly there is a pair of mens jockey underwear tied between the silks. This is hilarious! |

"20th Century Silks" & "Blendo" combined into one trick! You have a Magic Wand with three holes going all the way through. A different color silk is threaded through each of the holes. The center silk is removed and then disappears! The remaining two silks are removed from the wand and the silk that just vanished is now found tied between the other 2 silks! The 21st Century Silks As seen on Jay's hit DVD, Total Eclipse. Jay Scott Berry's version of this classic Silk effect has been called "the best improvement ever" and "a perfect illusion". The problem with the 20th Century Silks has always been that the "gimmicked" silk can be quite obvious. Jay's new method eliminates this problem and allows you to show 2 separate silks freely, even close-up, and then tie them together. A vanished silk then reappears tied between these two. Finally, all 3 silks can be immediately handed out for examination! This set includes 4 - 18" Diamond Cut silks, special gimmick and complete instructions to perform this amazing effect. The performer displays 5 different bottled beverages. He explains that one of the brands has hired him to advertise their drink because he discovered a method which makes someone prefer it. A spectator is then blindfolded with a silk, the magician lifts one of the bottles, Sprite for example and lets the rest of the audience know this is the preferred drink. Another spectator then silently chooses one of the other drinks, let's say Coca Cola, and this beverage is poured into a glass which is handed to the blindfolded participant. They will swear that it tastes like Sprite! The same drink is even handed out to other spectator's to taste and it's most definitely Coke! |
Three wooden blocks labeled "A,B, & C" and a square tube are displayed. Block "A" is removed and placed in a hat. The remaining two blocks are covered with the tube. The audience is askedthe location of block "A". Naturally they say "in the hat" and you remove the block to show that they are correct. The tube is also lifted to show the position of the remaining two blocks. Now for the magic. Block "A" is placed on top of the other two blocks and the entire stack is covered with the tube. The audience is now asked the position of Block "B". No mattertheir response they will be wrong. The tube is lifted and block "B" is gone even though it wasbetween two other blocks. You then reach into the hat and remove block "B". This is a true mystery that will have their heads spinning. Nicely crafted from wood.  |
The Magician removes a beautiful long-stem red rose from a vase of assorted flowers and shows the rose to the audience. He then pulls an elegant long silk from his jacket pocket and shows the audience that he has only the silk and the rose in his two hands. He puts both hands out in front of him and stretches the silk across his hands, allowing the rose to rest on top of the silk. All of a sudden, the rose begins to move around, floating up and down, from left to right, and even appearing in front of the silk! With both hands clearly visible and a good distance from the rose, the audience will be amazed at this seemingly impossible sight! Eventually, the rose returns to its original position, resting atop the silk. The Magician picks up the rose, shows it to the audience, and then places it back into the vase from which it originally came. This trick is completely self-contained. It doesn't use thread! Show a wooden pole with 3 silks attached. Two silks are the same color and there is an odd color silk on one end.The odd color silk is the acrobat; it can jump from end to end. You offer to prove the acrobatic silk really does jump!Pass the Pole behind your back. The odd color silk is now on the opposite side. You repeat this a 2nd time. The odd silk has jumped back to it's original position! The kids go crazy yelling, they think you're just turning the pole around!Do it again and the odd color silk jumps to the center. A card is selected, shuffled back into the deck and given to the spectator. A black balloon is introduced and a magical gesture is made from the deck to the balloon. The balloon is popped and the selected card is found inside! The performer then explains exactly how the effect was accomplished, showing how the selected card was actually held against the side of the balloon. Only this time he is using a clear balloon for easy illustration. Then all of a sudden you see the card VISUALLY penetrate the side of the balloon! Then the balloon hangs by one edge of the card. Then the card hangs by one corner and begins to spin inside the balloon. Finally the card drops all the way inside and can be handed out for examination. This is very visual and is perfect for TV. |
